Leone Family Picnic
My Uncle Joe and Aunt Lynne hosted a fabulous family picnic on August 8th. As usual they went over the top making sure that everyone had a great time. Past year's highlights include The Bug Man and a magician. This year's entertainment was a HUGE blow-up water slide!!
All the kids(and some adults) had a blast playing on the slide. Here, for your viewing pleasure, are a few more shots.

Disney 7/6/09 and 7/7/09
Here are some shots of the first couple of days with Mom, Dad, Cindy, Brian and the girls. We have the Magic Kingdom, dinner at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends, breakfast as Cinderella's castle with all the princesses and some from Hollywood Studios.
We had an awesome time as always in Disney this year. We met Tom's parents down there on the 3rd and then on the 6th my parents and my sister's family arrived. I have pictures from the first two days and then my camera died. Luckily my parents drove down so on Monday morning Tom, good guy that he is, drove to Best Buy and bought me a new camera!! Here are the first couple of days. More to follow but I've been on the computer too long today already! :)

Baby Robins
Every May we have a robin who throws himself into our dining room window over and over and over again. I have always figured that he is protecting a nest from the "enemy bird" he sees not realizing it is his own reflection. However we've never seen a nest. Well, this year he and his mate decided that the cherry tree in front of the window was a good place to take up residency. We noticed the Mama bird sitting on a nest a few weeks ago. Through all the rotten rain we've had she sat and sat and sat.
We never did see any eggs but on Saturday I looked out and this is what I found:
So, now I am a bit obsessed with taking baby bird pictures. Here are the latest.
You can't really tell but she's feeding one of the babies here.
I tried to get both the nest and the Mama in this one. You can just make out one of the babies in the bottom right hand corner.

Rachael's first (and hopefully last) break!
Rachael jumped off the balance beam at the park this morning and landed on her elbow. The ER doc said that he couldn't see any fracture on the xray but that because of the symptoms (swelling, not extending the arm all the way) he was going to treat it as one. We have an appointment with the orthopedist tomorrow morning.

God gave us an absolutely GORGEOUS day for Rachael's party with her friends and they all had lots of fun playing games, painting, doing crafts, playing on the playground and visiting the bunnies. It was a great day!

Wildcat 5K
Kyle participated in his first (and maybe last) 5K run today! He did a great job, finishing up in about 33 minutes. He wasn't really thrilled with the experience. Told me he wasn't doing it ever again and that he almost collapsed twice. We'll see. I hope to run it with him next year.
